The uniqueness of this product is that it is a Hybrid where the unit functions by a combination of solar assistance and conventional mains power. Heat is collected through a solar collector (heat exchange) which is directly transferred to the medium (Freon gas). This process allows the Freon gas to be heated with less reliance on the compressor, which is the major cost of running an Air Conditioner.
The hybrid is therefore less expensive to run due to its reduced reliance on electricity.
The solar collector operates as a heat exchange, it is not generating electricity.
